  • Sight & Sensibility: A Contemporary View of Drawing
    May 22 to September 26, 2008
    Open to the public

The exhibition "Sight & Sensibility" at the San Francisco Studio School Gallery presents three visual artists working with the discipline of drawing. Sandy Walker, Laura Harden and Lon Clark engage the act of drawing in relation to facets of perception, process and the capacity for individual invention. The exhibition features work related to drawing in a variety of media and in differing scale, from small to very large. Traditional genres of art such as landscape and the figure are presented, linking a thoroughly contemporary vision to historical involvements of the visual artist. Different media are presented challenging conventional notions of drawing including works on paper, canvas and photographic prints.
