The San Francisco Studio School maintains a gallery presenting exhibitions related to the involvements and philosophy of the school. A juried national competition is also exhibited annually.

The exhibition, titled "Vision," aligns and reflects the school's purpose: It showcases art that stands in contrast to the highly conceptual and market-driven work prevalent in the art world today. Consistent with the school's program, the exhibition features drawing, photography, painting and mixed media.

Opening in the fall of 2006, the San Francisco Studio School was founded in response to a need for an advanced, highly concentrated, think-tank environment where emerging artists could encounter the teaching of visual principles in their study of art.
