Gina Werfel, Visiting Faculty
Gina Werfel studied at the New York Studio School, received her BA from
Hamilton College, and her MFA from Columbia University. Her work is
represented by Jancar Gallery in Los Angeles, Prince Street Gallery in
New York and Adler and Co. in San Francisco. She has had many solo
exhibitions, most recently in New York City. Other solo exhibitions
include B. Sakata Garo Gallery in Sacramento CA, Monty Stabler Galleries
in Birmingham, AL and Prince Street Gallery, NYC.
Gina has been a visiting artist or lecturer at Trinity College,
Washington and Lee University, University of California, Santa Cruz, and
Bowdoin College. She has been on various committees of the College Art
Association, including the National Conference Committee and Nominating
Committee for the Distinguished Teaching of Art Award. Her awards and
research fellowships include the Rockefeller Foundation, Bellagio, Italy
fellowship. Gina Werfel has co-directed the Paris Summer Sessions for
the New York Studio School and has been faculty at the Chautauqua
Institute School of Art, Colby College, Randolph-Macon Woman's College,
Pont-Aven School of Art, and University of Connecticut. She currently is
Professor of Art at University of California - Davis.
