2010 Mixed Media Intensive Schedule The Art of Collage 3-Day Mixed Media Intensive Friday, July 9th to Sunday, July 11th: 9:30AM to 5:30PM Faculty: Lon Clark, Laura Harden The Art of Collage is a hands-on investigation of the qualities that make collage a unique, poetic and powerful medium. Collage is visual above all, and this three-day workshop considers the visual language that transforms collage into an art form. We will explore the assembly and reassembly of forms, materials, colors, textures and imagery that make collage remarkably individual. Technical matters will be addressed and the origins and development of collage through the twentieth century will be related to issues facing contemporary artists. The workshop is designed specifically to define and advance each individual's involvement with the medium and to provide a context opening creative potentials. Tuition: $325/3 days + $25 Registration Fee. Model fee included. Payment due in full at time of registration.
