Sandy Walker, Visiting Faculty
Sandy Walker is painter, printmaker and visual
artist. In his formative years, Walker studied art history at Harvard
University, spent a year at the Boston University School of Fine Arts
followed by a year at the New York Studio School, where he worked with
Mercedes Matter. In 1968 he received his M.F.A. in painting from
Columbia University as a Brevoort Fellow. Walker studied under noted
instructors such as Morton Sachs, Walter Murch, Charles Cajori and
Nicolas Carone. For almost twenty years, he has painted and exhibited in
the North Cascades, Wyoming, and the San Francisco bay area. His work is
included in many public collections including the NY MoMA, the
Metropolitan Musuem of Art and the Whitney.
